Ruby Pipeline delayed

The 1,086 km, 42 inch diameter pipeline will begin in Opal, Wyoming, before travelling through Utah, Nevada, and ending in Oregon. The pipeline will have an initial design capacity of up to 1.5 Bcf/d of gas.

The Bureau of Land Management says it hopes to approve the project in early July, after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has formed agreements to protect historic and cultural sites with each state along the route. El Paso had initially planned to begin constructing the pipeline in March 2010.
