Mr MacGregor, who is currently Vice President of Operations and Services with TransCanada Pipelines, has been a PRCI board member for four years and previously served as Vice Chair, Executive Committee member and Audit and Finance Committee Chair.
“This is an important time for collaborative research in the energy pipeline industry. In a time of constrained budgets and growing energy demand, the pipeline industry must seek sound, cost-effective and sustainable solutions that assure system integrity, reliability and environmental performance while meeting the growing demand,” Mr MacGregor said.
Mr MacGregor replaces Enbridge Pipelines Senior Vice President Art Meyer, who continues on the Executive Committee as Past Chair.
The PRCI board also elected Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company’s Eric Amundsen as Vice Chair, while El Paso Pipeline Group’s Jesus Soto Jr and Kevin Bodenhamer from EPCO have also joined the Executive Committee team. The board also expects to fill one more vacancy in 2010.
PRCI is a non-profit corporation comprised of 38 energy pipeline operating companies and associations located in the United States, Europe, Canada, South America and the Middle East, with 16 associate members drawn from the pipe equipment manufacturing, service and supply industries. The PRCI also has 13 Technical Program Associate Members covering the United States, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.
