The acquisition of Tracer Research supports Ucisco’s business strategy of expanding its portfolio of services for customers, especially to the refinery, petrochemical, and hydrocarbon pipeline industries. The US-based company provides mobile nitrogen pumping and several rapid-response cleaning, inspection, and leak-detection services to these industries. Praxair is one of the largest industrial gas companies in North and South America, and one of the largest world-wide, with 2001 sales of $5.1billion. The company produces, sells, and distributes atmospheric and process gases, and high-performance surface coatings.
