Training courses
Advanced pipeline risk management
This workshop is designed to equip attendees with the information to plan and implement a comprehensive risk management program for pipelines, discussing the latest methods for risk profiling and establishing a program meets regulatory requirements.
Introduction to Excavation Inspection
This course reviews inline and indirect inspection methods for pipelines, and the ways in which the results of these inspections are reported, the correct procedures for conducting investigative digs and how to use the latest non-destructive evaluation technologies to perform conclusive direct examinations.
Pigging and inline inspection
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of utility and inline inspection pigging, discussing the use of these technologies for the safe and profitable operation of pipelines.
Fracture mechanics for pipeline engineers
This two-day course is ideal for those who are faced with the technical and regulatory challenges associated with the seam weld crack threat. Attendees will learn the fundamental concepts of fracture mechanics, with a focus on practical applications of the technology.
Defect assessment in pipelines
This course is organised in association with Penspen Integrity and presents the latest defect-assessment methods for pipeline engineers and managers, ranging from simple to more detailed assessment methods.
Pipeline integrity management
This seminar provides a review of pipeline integrity management strategies, in compliance with regulatory requirements, including self-assessment.
Pipeline repair methods, hot tapping, and in-service welding
The two-day course provides an in-depth overview of the various aspects of pipeline repair and modification, as well as to addressing concerns for welding on in-service pipelines.
Managing cracking and dents
This course covers the formation and conditions that drive growth of cracks until they become unstable, leading to leaks or ruptures and the appropriate assessment methods, as well as traditional and current engineering methods, for determining crack severity for response and remediation.
Hydrostatic testing of pipelines
This course covers a wide range of topics related to hydrostatic testing of pipelines for gas and hazardous liquid service for both in-service and new construction in accordance with CFR 49 Parts 192 and 195.
Inspection of challenging pipelines
The course provides an introduction into the inspection of challenging pipelines, including introducing typical flaws and anomalies found in challenging assets, as well as a wide range of metal loss and crack features.
Defect assessment workshop
This course explores the practical application of the principles and methods learned in the defect assessment in pipelines course.
