It is expected that the Polish company may join the Scandinavian consortium. “PGNiG is analyzing the possibilities of transmitting gas from our own Skarv and Snadd deposits, and of importing Norwegian gas through the Skanled pipeline with the use of the Danish pipeline system and the Baltic Pipe,” Krzysztof Gogowski, president of PGNiG, said, adding that his company was considering financing the Baltic Pipe project on its own, which would mean that the pipeline would become PGNiG’s property. PGNiG and Energinet are also working on an option to enable the gas flow to be reversed, and run from Poland to Denmark.
