Shelton, who joined the company in 1979, was named president of the Western Pipeline Group in January, 2001, before which she served as president of El Paso Natural Gas Co, a position she assumed in January, 2000, after serving as vice president of finance for El Paso Natural Gas.
“Pat has played an integral role in the success of El Paso’s Pipeline Group, and she will be greatly missed,” said John Somerhalder, president of El Paso’s Pipeline Group. “Her leadership was pivotal in the integration of El Paso Natural Gas Co and Colorado Interstate Gas Co into the Western Pipeline Group following the Coastal merger. Her dedication and service to the company over the past 24 years has been exceptional, and I would like to personally thank her for her commitment and friendship.”
James Cleary, who has been president of ANR Pipeline since the Coastal merger, has relocated to Colorado Springs to become president of El Paso’s Western Pipeline Group. Prior to assuming his role as president of ANR, Cleary was executive vice president of Southern Natural Gas Co and supervised customer service, rates, and operations services. Cleary has served Southern Natural Gas and its affiliated companies in many capacities since joining the company in 1979.
Stephen Beasley, who has been president of Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) since February, 2000, will lead both TGP and ANR as president of El Paso’s Eastern Pipeline Group. Prior to his role as president of TGP, Beasley served as vice president of marketing and business development for TGP.
