The new DA module will help pipeline operators manage external-corrosion direct-assessment (ECDA) projects from beginning to end, as described in NACE standard SP0502.
GE says that, using the new DA tool, users can both connect to enterprise data, if available, or – if the data are unavailable – users can load available pipeline and environmental data directly. Data from additional stages can be loaded and analysed, and a graphical data editor allows viewing of assessment data in variety of user-friendly formats.
“The new module for PVi allows loading and analysis of data for all stages of ECDA, and is highly configurable to the user’s process for clients with both piggable and non-piggable lines,” said John Bucci, general manager of GE’s PII Pipeline Solutions business.
