Mr Enkhbold said Mongolia “is very interested in the Russian programme to create, in East Siberia and the Far East, a common system of gas production and gas supplies. We would like to take part in it,” he emphasized.
The Mongolian government wants to attract investments from Russia to upgrade and enlarge energy facilities in the country. According to the minister, Russia “shows interest in investing in the mining industry that is one our priority industries for development of our country’s economy.” In general, he said, “energy was and remains one of the most important spheres of the trade-economic cooperation between the countries.”
