Marine operations contract for Snohvit field

The contract, valued at over å£45 million, includes the installation of 13%Cr infield flowlines (17km, 14-in diameter), installation of a CO2 pipeline (150km, 8in diameter), two service lines (143km each, 4in diameter) from Melkoya to Snohvit, and umbilicals (170km) infield and from Melkoya to Snohvit. The infield lines will be installed and tied-in during 2004, and the remainder of the installation will be performed in 2005. The project management and engineering for the work will be performed in Oslo, Norway, and the fabrication of the pipelines will take place at Technip’s welding base in Orkanger, Norway and possibly at its installation at Evanton in Scotland.
