IPC still set for September

Planned for the 28 September-2 October 2020, the IPC in conjunction with its corresponding International Pipeline Exhibition event will take place in Calgary, Canada.

The Foundation Board and organising committee said although its event organiser dmg events has postponed all its events until 31 October, it is believed all events following this date will go forward.

“Events scheduled from 1 September 2020 onwards remain on the calendar as originally planned, although we understand that conditions change rapidly, so we are prepared to further revise plans as global events unfold,” said dmg events.

The IPC Foundation Board and IPC2020 Organising Committee are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and its potential impact on the conference, including observing recommendations from health organisations and government advice.

With these regulations in mind, ASME said all options have been evaluated to consider whether a virtual conference (partial or in full) may end up being the viable option to meet the needs of the conference and manage its constraints.

“Please continue your work in the expectation that the conference will occur. All dates in the current publications schedule will be followed,” said ASME.
