Heathrow pumping station completed

The project comprises the installation of a new suction booster facility and a mainline pumping facility on an existing operational site near Reading, together with the construction of a new midline pump station at Easthampstead. All three sites required live connections to existing pipework, and an existing pipeline has been rerouted.
Work at each pumping station consisted of the provision of a new high-voltage substation and power supply. The scope of work for each site included construction of bases, buildings, trenching, mechanical (pump, pipework, and access ways) and electrical (high- and low-voltage cabling, substations and switch gear, and instrumentation). As part of the scope of the works, product recovery systems with tanks have been installed.
