The operation of the pipeline represents the completion of a network in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces and the Ningxia region, serving PetroChina’s Changqing oilfield.
At almost the same time, the company’s 285-km long gas pipeline linking Kelamayi to Urumqi in the NW of the country was put into trial operation on 20 November. This new bi-directional pipeline has a capacity of 2.1bn cum/yr in the direction of Kelamayi, and 1.3bn cum/yr in the Urumqi direction.
