VECTOR International has been awarded a contract by Technip-Coflexip to supply 350 Techlok compact clamp connectors for the gas extraction development in the Shah Deniz field operated by BP on behalf of the Shah Deniz partners in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The contract is Vector’s first in the Caspian region and worth in the region of å£500,000.
The company s connectors will be supplied in sizes ranging from 1-16 in, manufactured in duplex and super duplex steels, and will be used on flowlines on the Shah Deniz platform at pressures up to 10,000psi. Techlok clamp connectors are designed to provide a high performance, no-leak solution to ANSI flanges, and are intended by the manufacturer to provide weight and space savings of up to 80% on traditional connection methods with improved seal integrity.
