EAGLE Energy Partners, a marketing and energy services company based in Houston, has signed an exclusive agreement to sell FERC-approved tariff hub services for Guardian Pipeline to third parties. The services will include firm and interruptible enhanced aggregation and wheeling (EAW) and interruptible parking and lending (PAL), and the agreement became effective on 1 September.
Guardian Pipeline transports natural gas from interconnections with Alliance, Northern Border Pipeline, Midwestern Gas Transmission, Natural Gas Pipeline Co of America, and ANR Pipeline at Guardian s Chicago hub near Joliet, Ill., to southern Wisconsin markets. The pipeline consists of 22,225 HP of compression, and approximately 230km of 36-in pipe extending from Joliet to the Ixonia, Wis., area, with the ability to transport 750,000 dekatherms per day. Guardian currently has contracted 674,500 dekatherms per day.
According to Griff Jones, Eagle s CEO, This agreement should increase liquidity into the Guardian Pipeline and provide improved efficiencies for Guardian s customers. We have expertise in logistics that complements Guardian s physical system, thereby maximizing transactions values for all parties, he added.
