CSL secures subsea contracts in North Sea and Gulf of Mexico

CSL will provide project management, engineering and commercial support services to Lundin Britain to deliver a new 10 inch production pipeline between an existing subsea tieback and platform located in the United Kingdom sector of the northern North Sea.

CSL has worked with Lundin Britain on the preliminary and design phases of the North Sea project, which resulted in the award of the most recent contract. The project is due for completion in the second quarter of 2010.

In other news, the company has also landed a contract to provide top tensioned riser (TTR) engineering validation and installation support to Marathon Oil’s Ozona project, a subsea tieback to Shell’s Auger tension leg platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

CSL United States General Manager Bill Washington said “We look forward to supporting Marathon from our Houston base, which has greatly increased our ability to participate actively in the market since becoming operational earlier this year.”

The projects are worth approximately $US2.4 million to CSL.
