The project is the North West Shelf Joint Venture’s latest extension to the Australian Burrup Peninsula facility for the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Gas from the North Rankin A and Goodwyn A platforms, 130km from the onshore processing facility is processed into LNG prior to shipment to Japan. The Burrup Peninsula is close to Dampier on the north west coast of Western Australia.

Corus Tubes is contracted with OneSteel and, to date, has supplied 1300 tonnes of pipe in the diameter range 18-24in for critical service to both Australia and Thailand for fabrication.
