Corinth Pipeworks awarded I.G.B. pipeline

Corinth Pipeworks will manufacture and supply the line pipes for the construction of the 187 km IGB pipeline.  

The 32 inch (812 mm) diameter steel line pipes will be manufactured in Corinth Pipeworks’ factory in Thisvi, Greece. 

The company said an extremely high manufacture performance criteria is in place to ensure the gas pipeline will meet the highest safety standards and good engineering practices. 

The scope of supply additionally includes external 3LPE anti-corrosion coating and internal liquid epoxy lining which will also be applied at the manufacturing factory.

The supply contract will be executed for a period of twelve months with the first deliveries being realised within the initial four months of the contact. 

Joint venture partner and owner of the pipeline, ICGB AD, will be responsible for the development, financing and construction of the IGB pipeline.
