Construction of a gas treatment facility is also underway. Upon completion, the facility will allow the production of 140,000 t of LNG, 750,000 t of condensate and 1.5 MMcm of natural gas. Gas production for sale is expected later this year.
The 324 sq km Chinarev field is located in the province of Batys Kazakhstan, near the border between Kazakhstan and Russia, and close to several major pipelines. According to Zhaikmunai, the field has reserves of 48.7 Bcm of gas and 35 MMt of oil.
