The company is responsible for the design, construction, operation and natural gas transmission of the Chinese section of the pipeline.
The 7,000 km Turkmenistan – China pipeline will transport gas from eastern Turkmen fields near the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the west, pass through central Uzbekistan and southern Kazakhstan, and enter China at Horgos Port in Xinjiang.
The capacity of 30 Bcm/a of gas was increased to 40 Bcm/a, the $US9.5 billion pipeline may be extended to Japan.
