Botas said it has signed a memorandum of co-operation with OMV to investigate ways to increase supplies of natural gas transported through Turkey to Europe. “There will be a preparatory period until the end of this year, during which preliminary meetings will be held with the possible transit countries’ gas companies to start the technical and economic works through the joint working groups by the beginning of 2003,” Botas said in a statement.
