Barrier pipe performs in contaminated ground

The multi-layer composite pipe represents a new generation of pipe from Uponor, combining the advantages of plastics and metal in a longitudinally-welded aluminium core pipe, with inner and outer layers of polyethylene (PE). The PE layers are DWI Regulation 25-approved for the transportation of potable water, in the same way as for standard PE water pipe.
Puriton is designed to provide an impenetrable aluminium barrier to the permeation of contaminants for the whole length of the pipe, even when it has been stressed during bending. The pipe can be bent and formed using the same techniques as for copper pipes, saving the need for separate bends and elbows. The material is available in diameters from 25-110mm, and comes in straight lengths or coils.
,UPONOR’S new Puriton barrier pipe system has been designed to provide full protection for conveying potable water through contaminated ground.
