Automatic welding for offshore extension project

The job, being run by Iroquois Gas Transmission System, involves expansion offshore of approximately 48km of 24-in pipe in Long Island Sound, New York.

The automatic welding system to be used includes a P600 dual-torch external welder whose features include through-the-arc tracking, “÷smart card’ programming, and software that collects data and helps monitor quality control. The P600 has been designed to be ergonomic, light, and easy to handle, yet engineered for service in all
climates and field conditions.
