Audacia begins pipelay work for Nord Stream 2

Audacia has started installation works on the first stretch of the twin pipelines being laid in German territorial waters.

The vessel will lay pipes for approximately 38 km in the deeper water section of the route and, after completing the first line, it will return to the starting point to continue laying the second line.

The installation comes after Nord Stream 2 received a number of permits for the construction of the underwater portion of the pipeline in territorial waters in June.

All works on the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline in German territorial waters are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
