Matthew Warren has argued that it was in the long-term interests of consumers, the environment and the economy for the two major parties to come together and broker a bipartisan approach to energy market reform.
“The current debate around the future of the Renewable Energy Target completely misses the point,” Mr Warren said.
“We need to continue the transformation of our energy system, and this will require thinking far beyond the design of the current RET scheme”.
