HyP SA wins engineering award

Presented by Engineers Australia, the awards represent outstanding achievement in engineering and the invaluable contribution engineering makes to the economy, community and the environment.

AGIG, Valmec and GPA were recognised for the Hydrogen Park South Australia (HyP SA) Hydrogen Production and Injection Facility, located at the Tonsely Innovation District in Adelaide’s south.

Developed through AGIG’s Australian Gas Networks (AGN) arm, HyP SA is a demonstration plant that will contain a 1.25 MW electrolyser and produce small quantities of hydrogen which will be blended into the local gas distribution network.

AGN has been supported by a $4.9 million grant from the SA Government’s Renewable Technology Fund to build and operate the project.
