The golf course played host to approximately 30 golfing pipeliners grouped into several teams of four.
The excellent weather, combined with a fantastic lunch at the North Adelaide Golf Course’s clubrooms following the official tournament, made for a truly memorable day.
Highlights included a birdie on a par three by Bredero Shaw’s Stuart McLennan and a high level of both female and young pipeliners in the tournament.
The winning team, which snuck home in one of the closest ever finishes in APIA Golf Classic history, comprised of McConnell Dowell’s Paul Tschappeller and Rob Harris, DBP’s James Smith and Logicamms’ Graham Gilkinson.
Other award winners were TDW’s John Smith, who won longest drive for the men; ATCO Australia’s Fiona Eyres who won longest drive for the women; Belinda Hogarth, who won closest to the pin; and the runner-up team consisting of Bredero Shaw’s Stuart McLennan, Flexpipe’s Dean Bennett, Great Southern Press’ Tim Thompson and OSD’s Benn Wheeler.
The day was once again proudly sponsored by Vermeer.
