The contracted works include the fabrication of process piping for Stage 2 of the gas project, located in Dongara, Western Australia.
Ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia, Waitsia was discovered in September 2014.
Stage 1 of the Waitsia gas project began in early 2016 and comprised the installation of new infrastructure and upgrades to existing assets.
Stage 2 will involve further development on the gas field, with the introduction of more wells and a new production facility capable of producing 250 TJ a day.
Clough was selected to provide an optimum technological solution for processing the gas as part of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract.
Clough and GF previously worked together on the Wheatstone Offshore Hook Up and Commissioning project, and GF said it hopes to build on this working relationship through the delivery of the most recent alliance.
Workshop fabrication is proposed to commence in the last quarter of 2021.
