Fyfe has a long history in the Northern Territory, both in its own right and through the companies it has acquired. Originally a survey company, the company’s activities have broadened to include engineering and consultancy work in pipeline engineering for the oil and gas industry.
Over the past 15 years, Fyfe has gained extensive experience in assisting engineering and procurement and pipeline operating companies with greenfield and brownfield projects, as well as operations and maintenance activities. The company’s experience also includes both oil and gas production systems in various basins in Australia, as well as major transmission pipelines.
Specifically in the NT, Fyfe has assisted NT Gas with hazardous area dossier preparation and survey; the Power and Water Corporation with front-end engineering and design (FEED) studies and engineering secondments; Santos at Mereenie with engineering and survey activities; and, a number of junior explorers with survey.
Fyfe is also able to match its extensive experience with a growing workforce and national network. Fyfe now has more than 350 staff, with over 200 of them working on pipeline engineering and related oil and gas activities.
In addition to its head office in Adelaide and major offices in Brisbane and Darwin, Fyfe has a network of regional and site offices in Alice Springs, Ballera, Chinchilla, Coolum, Dalby, Fairview, Moomba, Roma and Springwood. The company has also recently opened an office in Winnellie, NT, to accommodate its increasing workforce, with the addition of more survey staff and an engineering presence in Darwin.
Fyfe has all engineering and survey disciplines to support its clients in the NT. The services it offers include preliminary investigations/pre-FEED studies, FEED studies, safety management studies, detailed design, additions and modifications to pipeline systems, mothballing and abandonment, integrity management and construction management.
