The acquisition of the Mount Barker-based business further strengthens Fyfe’s local surveying expertise and capability.
Established in 1973, Veska & Lohmeyer has built a reputation as a leading provider of land information and surveying services in the district.
The firm moved from Norwood to Mount Barker in 1990 where it has since operated under the ownership of licensed surveyor Michael Lohmeyer.
“Veska & Lohmeyer brings to Fyfe an impressive client base and a highly skilled team of professionals,” Fyfe Managing Director Mark Dayman said.
“Local knowledge and expertise is a highly valuable asset for any professional services consultancy operating in our field.
“We see Mount Barker as a centre that is developing strongly and therefore representing a buoyant market for our services.
“Not only is this acquisition in line with Fyfe’s future growth plans but the Mount Barker office will provide valuable support to our existing projects in the local area.”
It is the second such acquisition in 12 months for Fyfe, after purchasing Hunter Valley-based surveying firm Boardman Peasley in January 2014.
Fyfe has offices across mainland capital cities as well as regional South Australia, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Manila in the Philippines.
Fyfe currently has around 450 employees consulting to the oil and gas, resources, infrastructure and property industries.
