Mr Gibbings was CEO of the LMC from 2005 until it was amalgamated into the Urban Renewal Authority in March 2012.
According to Fyfe Group Managing Director Mark Dayman, Mr Gibbings is highly respected across Australia for his role in the initiation and development of many leading projects in South Australia, including Lightsview, Playford Alive, Bowden and Tonsley.
“[Mr Gibbings] was responsible for more than 50 projects that were in the planning or delivery stages. Many of these projects have won industry awards for achievements in sustainability, urban design, community consultation and affordable housing,” said Mr Dayman.
The merge will establish town planning and property development in communities impacted by gas and resource sectors as key focuses for both divisions.
