General Trade Industries (GTI) raised approximately $15,000 for the charity at its end of year staff party. The function, held at the Regatta Hotel in Brisbane on 21 December, saw a number of distinguished guests attend, including Royal Flying Doctor Chief Executive Officer Nino Di Marco. The funds were raised by the co-operative effort of the GTI staff.
GTI Managing Director Geoff Pike said “As a company working in remote Australia, the Royal Flying Doctor Service is taken for granted. Our
company strongly supports the efforts these great people offer.”
GTI is already looking ahead, endeavouring to exceed the proceeds raised this year at the 2009 charity Christmas function. Mr Pike said that an increased amount of interest has already been indicated.
