Part of the hallmark is the Fast Fusion® patented technology that cools the welded polyethylene (PE) pipe three to five times quicker than the long wait times associated with ambient temperature cooling.
Another advantage is the improved safety of the fusion welding process by having the FastLoad® front boom that self-loads the pipe from the ground, eliminating the need for full time support site personnel and equipment.
The three models of MobileFusion Trac span the diameter of pipe from 110-900 mm.
They are all self-propelled and operated by one person who has a safe and controlled high-density PE welding cabin.
This “˜operator platform’ is environmentally controlled for a clean and controlled place to join the pipe.
This eliminates the negative factors that cause failed welds due to dust, wind and rain.
Each machine has at least one heating and air conditioning system as well for operator comfort.
Each fusion weld is made with the fully automatic Fast Fusion® weld bead control technology.
This is operated by a micro-processor that completes each weld exactly the same way.
Fast Fusion Cool Packs®
The Fast Fusion Cool Packs® were introduced into Australia in 2009.
They enable the fully automatic Fast Fusion® weld bead temperature control technology to be put on any conventional fusion machine from 110-1800 mm.
Fast Fusion Sales and Marketing Vice President Allen Switzer said the cool packs will save time and money.
“Adding the Fast Fusion Cool Pack® to a conventional fusion machine will increase production rate by two times, using the same labour and equipment.
“This will result in a 50 per cent reduction in cost per fusion.”
