Enerpac cordless hydraulic pump couples with pull cylinders to remove conveyor main

The pump – which offers the performance capabilities of a corded electric or pneumatic powered pump with the convenient portability of a hand pump – is used to simultaneously power two BRP 106L 10 t pull cylinders firmly anchored overhead of the conveyor for precisely controlled hoisting.

Operating through an Enerpac AM 21 manifold for the control of two single-acting cylinders simultaneously; the lifting combination provided a secure and easily controlled alternative to the previous method of a single 10 t chain hoist.

“The BRP pull cylinders – available in capacities from 10-50 t – are extensively proven in rugged environments and confined spaces, such as mines, quarries and indoor and outdoor processing and materials handling facilities,” says Enerpac Mining Manager Warren Baltineshter.

“They combine effortlessly with the all-new line of XC cordless pumps, which provide a portable, cost-effective solution that deliver the speed, power and longevity of a corded pump,” says Mr Baltineshter.

Designed to satisfy the need for a long-lasting pump that can be used in hard-to-access areas, XC-Series cordless pumps are constructed of lightweight materials, equipped with a powerful, one-half horsepower motor and feature 28-volt, Lithium-Ion battery technology.

With its bladder reservoir, Enerpac’s cordless pumps eliminate venting and offer leak-free operation in any orientation. Plus, the overall body, handle and trigger have been ergonomically engineered to maximize ease-of-use and portability.

XC-Series cordless pumps deliver oil flow of 2.05 litres per minute at its low-pressure setting and 0.25 litres per minute when operating at full pressure, up to 10,000 psi. Additionally, the lithium-ion technology ensures XC-Series pumps provide end users with the battery runtime necessary to accommodate demanding application requirements.

Enerpac’s XC-Series promotes operator safety by removing trip hazards associated with traditional powered pumps. Safety features include overload protection circuitry, which safeguards both the pump and the operator from excessive amp draw or temperatures, and a trigger lock-off mechanism that protects against unintended operation during transport.

Ideal for a wide range of industries, such as mining, construction, industrial, power generation and more, the XC-Series solves diverse and demanding applications requirements, including:

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling and cutting
  • Mobilising heavy equipment
  • Gear pulling
  • Servicing machinery
  • Moving paper rolls
  • Lifting rail cars and rail alignment.
