Jiva is an independent Canadian consulting and educational organization with significant experience in effective transfer of deeply technical knowledge. An important focus is providing high-quality technical training and competency development to the industry.

This training is designed to support the development of technical and non-technical personnel across an organization, and stakeholder groups, to ensure teams can work together more effectively.

In terms of consulting services, Jiva believes strong management systems (i.e. “…the set of interrelated or interacting elements of an organization to establish policies and objectives and processes to achieve those objectives…” [ISO 55000]) are an essential foundation for effective operational management. As such, Jiva supports clients through any stage of maturing management systems from identification of gaps in the management system to reaching a state of ongoing audit-readiness.

Specifically, Jiva’s philosophy is to ensure programs, policies, plans and standard operating procedures reflect industry wisdom through collaboration with subject matter experts in a way that is practical for the client’s specific challenges and constraints. Further, these processes are documented in a way that is easily accessible and useable by client personnel.
