NSW Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts had previously said the suspension was the result of an ongoing audit of all petroleum exploration licences in the state, aiming to ensure company compliance with title conditions.
Mr Roberts said that as the matter remains the subject of ongoing litigation he would not be making any further comment on the decision.
Metgasco had its first Supreme Court hearing in regards to the matter on Friday June 27, after rescheduling the initial date of 13 June in order to allow the OCSG time to review its decision.
