CSG technology innovation recognised

The Brisbane-based pipeline construction company won the Business Innovation Award in recognition of its pursuit of advancement and efficiencies within the pipeline construction sector.

Murphy Pipe and Civil Managing Director Jim Campbell said the award win was confirmation the company’s vision to continually add value to the CSG industry through innovative action was on the right track.

Mr Campbell said key to the company’s award recognition was its introduction of pipeline ploughing technology to support the CSG industry’s demand for safer, greener and more efficient pipeline construction methods.

“While this is a win for our company’s pursuit of continuous improvement within the pipeline construction sector, it’s also a win for the CSG companies that have actively embraced superior pipeline construction methods,” said Mr Campbell.

The pipeline ploughing technology has earned the company extensive pipeline construction contracts within Queensland’s Surat Basin CSG fields and throughout Australia.

“I am pleased that our company has been able to play an active role in developing initiatives that highlight what Queensland can offer the national and international marketplace,” said Mr Campbell.

This is the second award Murphy Pipe and Civil has received at the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards after taking out the Business Growth category in 2009.
