Busy year for NationWide Hire

General Manager John Wilton says, “We are now able to provide projects with their entire truck and transportation requirements – from little dual cab tippers through crane, fuel and water trucks to our 6×6 prime movers and now a full range of quad floats!”

“This year has seen the first of our international 6x6s working as a prime mover, enabling our clients to pull equipment and supplies along the RoW. 6x6s will also shortly be available with service, crane and water modules, all quickly inter-changeable with our unique chassis latching system. To our knowledge, we are the only company in Australia offering 6×6 trucks for hire.

“As well as the 6x6s, we now have bulk trench-filling modules available for hire, along with hydro vac and sand blast modules. All three at the request of our valued clients,” he said.

In addition, NationWide’s standard fleet of off-road and project-specific trucks continues to grow, having recently taken delivery of its 100th Isuzu Truck. The company’s range of crane trucks, flatbeds, fuel, service/lube and water trucks are available in various sizes and configurations.

“Again at the request of clients we have added a 6×4 service truck to the 8×4 and 4×4 and 6×6 already offered and also a dedicated 6×4 water truck,” said Mr Wilton. “We will shortly also be able to provide certified ROPS bars for many of our trucks – a plus for all safety conscious projects. Strong demand for our 4×4 buses in both 10 and 17 seater continues unabated.

“With the growing scarcity of water, and the ever toughening stance of the EPA, we are also developing a range of “˜transportable wheel and chassis wash’ units and bigger truck wash units, which encompass the wheel wash – a sequential automated wheel wash as well as a manual wash facility.”

Both units are fully self contained, recycling the water and providing easy removal of “heavies” and are ideal for any semi-permanent wash facility requirement. As such they are perfect for any major projects with weed or contaminate issues.

“In addition to growing our own fleet through strategic alliances, we can now offer our clients a full range of prime movers with up to 80 tonne quad floats for all their project plant and equipment moves and even but modern air conditioned, seat belted project coaches seating up to 57,” said Mr Wilton.

“So, we can now provide a “˜one stop shop’ for all project truck and transportation requirements.”
