Utilising its fleet of medium sized drill rigs, BTB can offer a comprehensive range of directional drilling services to assist in completing projects productively and to schedule.
Having recently successfully concluded the HDD bores on the SEA Gas Project, BTB moved forward and has recently completed all the onshore HDD bores on the BassGas Project in Gippsland, Victoria.
The HDD bores included major highway crossings, creek crossings, important farmland and some significant environmentally sensitive areas. Pipe diameters installed ranged from 350 mm to 250 mm for the raw and sales gas pipelines.
BTB is continually involved in a variety of interesting HDD projects, including major telecommunications infrastructure projects, specialist HDD rock drilling, sewer, water and power installations.
Directional drilling continues to advance, offering flexibility and minimal surface contact thus avoiding the impact of traditional open trenching.
The advantages of directional drilling installation over alternative construction methods are numerous. Environmental issues are minimised as operations are limited to relatively small areas at each end, as opposed to the complete length, of the installation.
Normal activity, such as river, highway or airport runway traffic, can continue unhindered during installation. This factor is especially important when drilling in residential or commercial areas.
BTB Australia welcome any enquiries as to how they can assist you with your HDD requirements.
