BG Group reported key Australian portfolio developments as following:
- The initial two-train, 8.5 MMt/a plant remains on track for first LNG in 2014;
- From mid-2012, eleven rigs will be operating with a peak target of 40-50 wells per month. To date, over 700 wells have been drilled; and,
- Approximately 150 km of the 540 km pipeline network has been strung out along the pipeline route. Welding of the pipeline is underway, and is expected to increase at a rate of 2.5 km per day.
