Part 0 is the over-arching part of the suite of seven standards within AS 2885, and covers the very important basic principles, defines the scope outline for AS 2885 and the important concept of approvals.
It contains the listing of defined terms from Part 1 (Design and Construction), Part 3 (Operations and Maintenance) and the upcoming new Part 6 (Safety Management).
This means that anyone using AS 2885 will be required to also have Part 0, for access to the defined terms.
Part 3 is currently under revision and will be out for public comment later in 2018.
This nine-week Part 0 public comment round is in addition to the recently circulated Parts 1 and 6 (in 2017).
Parts 1 and 6 are reaching final revision and will be circulated for minor public comment only in a few weeks.
Timing is such that all three (Parts 0, 1 and 6) will be out for public comment concurrently for about 6 weeks.
Current forecasts have these Parts (Parts 0, 1 and 6) all being published at the same time in September or October.
