APIA Convention returns to Melbourne after 43 years

Set to be hosted at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18-21 October 2014, the theme for this year is Safe and Efficient Energy – It’s in the Pipeline.

With over 120 exhibitors showcasing their products and information, the APIA Convention and Exhibition is a major event in the national energy and infrastructure calendar, attracting attendees from around the nation as well as many international visitors.

The Conference will include presentations on safety and the environment, projects and skills, as well as technical challenges and new research and developments.

Keynote speakers include Peter Davidson, who rescued eight men during the 1998 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, and Emeritus Professor Andrew Hopkins, an Associate Member of the National Research Centre for OHS Regulation who is also an adjunct Professor with the School of Sociology in the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the Australian National University.

Of the approximately 30 events and functions hosted by APIA each year, the Convention is the showcase event for the industry and for APIA.

Promising an opportunity for all members from all sectors of the industry to meet and address the issues that are important, the Convention is an excellent way to share critical knowledge about the industry.

Host sponsors include APA Group, CNC Project Management, GPA Engineering, Nacap, OSD, ShawCor and Vermeer.
