APGA scores a try in Brisbane

The sold-out event provided the typically fantastic views of the Brisbane River the venue is known for, as a wide variety of industry personnel were given the chance to enjoy a beer or two and converse with their peers.

Legendary rugby league player Allan “Alfie” Langer was the night’s special guest speaker, providing a thrill for the sports fans in attendance.

Langer was one of the pre-eminent halfbacks of his era, representing Australia on many occasions and holding the record for most State of Origin appearances.

He played most of his career as captain of the Brisbane Broncos, where he won the 1992 Clive Churchill Medal and Rothmans Medal, as well as four premierships and the club’s player of the year award a record five times.

The night was generously sponsored by Wasco and Tremco Pipeline Equipment.

APGA looks forward to more gatherings in Brisbane this year, including the 2021 Annual Convention and Exhibition in September.
