The company recently sold its interests in the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG and Kitimat LNG projects to Woodside Petroleum for approximately $A3.3 billion.
The deal involved Woodside acquiring a 13 per cent interest in the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG Project and a 65 per cent interest in the Julimar-Brunello upstream gas development, with a near-term production profile; a 65 per cent interest in the Balnaves oil project, with immediate production; and, a 50 per cent interest in the Kitimat LNG Project.
Meanwhile, The Australian reports that sales talks for the further offloading of Apache assets have been suspended due to the current market, and as the company awaits the proceeds of the Woodside sale.
