Emperor and APA have entered into a binding agreement to progress pre-front end engineering and design (FEED) for midstream infrastructure and services for Emperor’s 100 per cent owned permit in the Judith Gas Field in Victoria’s offshore Gippsland Basin.
The agreement includes a pre-FEED design for a gas processing plant to operate adjacent to APA’s existing Orbost facility, the pre-FEED concept design for a 40 km subsea pipeline from the field to a shoreline crossing, and the pre-FEED design for an export pipeline to the Eastern Gas Pipeline located north of Orbost.
APA will begin the pre-FEED study in July with an expected completion time of four months.
Judith has a 2C contingent gas resource of 4.2 billion m3 of gas, with a design basis for the pre-FEED being 90 TJ/d of sales gas across a project life of 25 years.
Emperor’s Gippsland Basin permit covers 202 km2 and is located 2 km north of the Kipper Gas Field.
