APA progresses plans for NT and east coast pipeline link

The pipeline link would create one interconnected system of over 9,000 km of gas pipelines, bringing together APA’s two Northern Territory pipelines with its east coast grid, which extends from Queensland to Victoria, with two potential routes being studied.

The feasibility study will cover route selection, engineering and commercial viability, and is expected to cost around $2 million.

The announcement came as APA released its results for the six months to 31 December 2013, reporting a 43 per cent drop in net profit after tax to $121 million.
