An AGL spokesperson said that tendering for the pipeline will take place after an FID has been reached by the Board, which is currently scheduled for 2016.
The proposed pipeline will be wholly-owned and operated by AGL.
The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has first gas for the pipeline slated for 2018.
The Gloucester Gas Project, situated in PEL 285, will include the construction of up to 110 gas extraction wells, a central processing facility, a gas transmission pipeline, and a gas delivery station to be located at Hexham.
The project’s Stage 1 development has all necessary government approvals, with flow testing at the Waukivory pilot test program set to continue for the remainder of 2015.
