Flow meters required at Dorado

The Santos-operated Dorado Project has released a tender for the supply of multi-phase flow meters (MPFM).

The project is the development of an offshore oilfield located in the Bedout Basin, approximately 150 km north of Port Hedland, Western Australia, which will include hydrocarbon wells, a floating production storage and offloading facility moored in 95 m of water above the Dorado field as well as various subsea equipment.

Inline MPFMs are required for reservoir surveillance and operational purposes on each of eight wells.

Piping ratings and materials are super-duplex stainless steel and ANSI #2500, while the line size is expected to be around 8 inches (203 mm).

The MPFM supplier will be responsible for the products’ specification and design; procurement, fabrication, testing and calibration; certification, quality control, quality assurance and documentation; installation support and more.

Expressions of interest for the full scope will close on 2 October 2020.

Santos operates Dorado with an 80 per cent interest with assistance from 20 per cent owner Carnarvon Petroleum.
