STATS Group has been awarded a pipeline isolation services contract in Australia by leading oil and gas producer Santos.
The contract will cover all Santos assets in Queensland and South Australia, including its pipelines and facilities in the Cooper Basin, Port Bonython, and the GLNG upstream and downstream operations at Gladstone.
STATS Group is a market leader in the supply of pressurised pipeline isolation, hot tapping and plugging services to the global oil, gas and petrochemical industries, with the company’s patented isolation tools to be used on the new contract.
The tools leak-tight double block and bleed isolation, enabling safe and efficient maintenance and repair of pipeline infrastructure while also focusing on reducing system downtime, minimising environmental impact and increasing worksite safety.
STATS Asia Pacific Regional Manager Gareth Campbell said Santos’ award is a landmark contract for growing STATS’ Australian business with the company delighted for the opportunity to showcase its technologies.
“This lays the foundation for further expansion of STATS Group to serve the Australian energy industry and we have attracted a good deal of interest in our advanced technologies from potential clients across the extensive gas transmission sector,” he said.
“With revenues in Australia growing by up to 30 per cent year on year, we are in a strong position to build on our reputation of on time delivery and client responsiveness.”
