APA Group says its critical facilities and essential services will remain operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
As schools and businesses around the country shut down or go remote, APA said through its Crisis Management Team it would continue to monitor the situation and work with key stakeholders to maintain service continuity.
Where possible, APA personnel will work remotely, while offices and field depots, such as the company’s Integrated Operations Centre, will remain open for essential activities only.
“APA is absolutely focused on its essential role in ensuring the ongoing supply of gas and electricity for Australians,” said APA CEO and Managing Director Rob Wheals.
“APA has mature and well-tested business continuity plans that will ensure our assets, people and communities remain safe and that our valued services are provided to our customers.”
APA owns and operates more than 15,000 km of natural gas pipelines around Australia.
