Jemena is offering tender opportunities for the Northern Gas Pipeline including helicopter services, accommodation services and geotechnical services.
Opportunities currently exist for the following:
- Helicopter services
- Accommodation services
- 4WD vehicle hire
- Geotechnical services.
The full scope for helicopter services closes on 8 February 2016, while the full scopes for accommodation services, 4WD vehicle hire and geotechnical services closing 21 February 2016.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the geotechnical investigation works will commence in the second quarter of 2016.
Geotechnical investigations are expected to be conducted along the proposed pipeline route and at the site of each facility, including the start of line compressor station at Warrego, the end of line compressor station at Mount Isa and three main line valves (MLV) and one MLV/scraper station located along the pipeline, between Warrego and Mount Isa.
The Northern Gas Pipeline will connect Tennant Creek to Mt Isa, with the first supply of gas expected to come from existing offshore and land-based operations in the NT.
Construction on the pipeline is scheduled to commence in 2017, with commissioning expected in 2018.
McConnell Dowell has been selected as the construction contractor for the pipeline.
